Complete information on Canara bank timings

It is important to know bank timings if you are planning to visit the bank for any banking activities. Unplanned visits may cause you to be stuck in a long queue at the bank. None of us wants to do that, especially in this present working trend where everybody’s schedule is tight and everything can be done in a few moments. So, in order to give you a smooth and easy banking experience, this article will focus on the Canara bank timings.

Canara bank timings on weekdays

According to the latest timing set by Canara bank, the bank opens at 10:00 AM and closes at 3:30 PM on all weekdays that is from Monday to Friday. Customers can visit the bank anytime during this working hour to carry out any the banking activities. 

Canara bank timings on weekend

The bank remains closed on the 2nd and fourth Saturday. However, it remains open from 10:00 AM to 3:30 PM on the 1st, 3rd and 5th Saturday. Sundays are normally closed. Keeping these timings and holidays, customers can plan their visit accordingly.

These timing may again defer from a branch to branch depending on the location. As India is a geographically vast country, not all the places follow same working hours though the whole country has only one time zone. So, it would be best to check our with your branch once.

Canara Bank NEFT Timings

Online NEFT transactions operate 24×7 without any time restrictions. However, for offline transactions, customers can visit their nearest Canara Bank branch from 10 AM to 3:30 PM on all days except Sundays and 2nd/4th Saturdays.

Canara Bank RTGS Timings

For RTGS transactions of Rs. 2 lakhs or more, Canara Bank allows online payments 24×7, including holidays, effective from December 14, 2020. For branch transactions, it falls within the bank’s business hours.

Canara Bank IMPS Timings

As IMPS transactions are exclusively online, there are no specified timings for Canara Bank IMPS transfers. Customers can initiate IMPS transactions via Canara mobile banking or internet banking at any time, enabling instant fund transfers.

Canara Bank UPI Timings

Canara Bank UPI transfers can be made at any time on any day. Users need to generate their UPI PIN and ID, which can be utilised across various UPI apps. Not available for offline transactions, hence no specific branch timings are applicable.

For other online banking activities such as checking your balance or recent transactions, you don’t have to worry about the Canara bank timings. You can download a mini statement with just a phone call or a few clicks.

We can get a Canara bank mini statement through Canara bank mini statement number.

Follow these steps: 

  1. Dial the Canara bank mini statement number 09015613613 for Hindi and 09015734734 for English from your registered mobile number. If your mobile number is not registered yet, you can refer to the guidelines which will be provided in this article later.
  2. Then, proceed by following the instructions given by the IVR.
  3. And, you will get your mini-statement sent to your registered mobile number.

For mobile number registration

Head to your Canara Bank home branch and request a mobile number registration form from a bank representative to initiate the mobile registration procedure. You’ll be provided with a KYC form to complete and submit, along with your recent photograph and a copy of your photo ID. Fill it up with all the required details such as your name, account number and mobile number. After submission, you’ll receive an SMS confirming the successful linking and registration of your mobile number with your Canara Bank account.

Canara bank mini statement through Internet banking

  • Go to the official webpage of Canara bank and log into your account by entering your user id and password. 
  • Go to account section and you will see the last few transactions and the remaining balance.
  • If you don’t have access to the internet banking portal yet, you need to register first.

Follow these steps for Internet banking registration:

  • Go to the official website of Canara bank from your browser.
  • There will be an option for registration under the ‘Online Banking’ or ‘Login’ section.
  • You’ll be asked to enter details like account number, card details, personal information, and sometimes an OTP (One Time Password) sent to your registered mobile number for verification.
  • Set up a user ID and password. Some banks might require a combination of alphabets, numbers, and special characters for a secure password.
  • After registration, log in using the newly created credentials.
  • Banks often prompt users to set security questions, enable two-factor authentication, or link a registered device for added security. Do not forget the security questions and answers. It will help you recover your password in case you forget it.
